Meet the family of Ojārs Vācietis, re-trace the poet's childhood experiences, get to know his
friends and colleagues, visit him at home in Carnikava, leaf through the books in his library,
see his study, sense the aroma of his cigarette smoke, hear the early morning clatter of the
typewriter, go walking in Arkādija Park, look across the river Daugava, enjoy a glass or two at
the Spilve Airfield restaurant, learn about the poet's hobbies, hear him read his own poetry,
and look him in the eye.
This multimedia CD includes material from the collections of the Ojārs Vācietis Memorial Museum,
the personal archive of Ludmila Azarova, the collections of the Literature, Theatre and Music
Museum, the Musuem of the Occupation of Latvia, the archive of Latvian Television and the Misiņš
Library of the Latvian Academic Library.
